Michèle is the owner and trainer of Go, Dog Go! K9 Academy LLC. She has been an animal lover all her life. When she was a young teen, her interest in training began with one, difficult, handful of a german shepherd mix that belonged to her neighbor. She studied books and worked with his dog. The neighbor was thrilled when his walks with his dog became a pleasurable experience and the dog became obedient. From that first success, she pursued her desire to learn about training and handling dogs and took every opportunity to train a dog. After pursuing graduate degrees in Philosophy and English Literature, and later while teaching and coaching full-time, she went to dog training seminars, until finding the NePoPo® Silver and Gold school in 2017. There she found a pragmatic and sensible training philosophy and a language of mutual respect between dog and handler that she could commit to. She provides in-home lessons as well as board and trains. Michèle owns and handles two wonderful sporting dogs: a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, and Lagotto Romagnolo who have earned AKC titles in Obedience, Rally, and Trick Dog.
